Volunteering is not the same as flying with a veteran as a Volunteer Guardian. We require that you start as a volunteer first, and eventually work your way into a Volunteer Guardian position.
Our volunteer team is diverse, hard-working, and creative. We love what we do, and we are passionate about building strong bonds with our veterans in order to give them the best possible experience while in Washington D.C.

Our needs:
- Administrative: Data Entry, written correspondence, phone calls
- Veteran Events: Greeters, check-in, ushers
- Hospitality: Decorating, goody bag & snack bag assembly, hygiene packs (donations and assembly)
- Flight Day(at KCI): Ground Support, veteran assistance
- Tech: Website support, social media

If you are unable to volunteer, but still want to help, consider donating to help get our vets to D.C.
Do you know a business or individual who might want to donate:
- Snacks for flight day (individually packaged items such as trail mix, crackers, and cookies)
- Bottled Water
- Photo Booth Services
- Military/Historical Memorabilia/Vehicles/Collections for display at our events
- Patriotic Floral Arrangements and/or decorations for our events
- Balloons/Signs for our Welcome Home Gala
